Alpacas boarded at BMA will receive individual care, as is the case with our own animals. Agistment includes:
  • individual evening feeding based on nutritional needs
  • yearly hay analysis to optimize customized supplemental feed produced at our local mill
  • free choice mineral supplement
  • regular manure clean up
  • regular toenail trimming
  • annual immunization for adults
  • parasite control (de-worming) program adjusted as needed based on testing
  • ongoing monitoring of herd health
Discounts are applied for agistment of multiple alpacas and crias are free to 6 months of age. Owners must have full mortality insurance coverage on their alpacas and are responsible for cria registration and DNA testing fees, shearing charges and veterinary fees beyond standard care. Owners and family are encouraged to visit often and become acquainted with the alpacas. Email us for information about agisting contracts and fees.
